Big Brothers of the Little Sisters
Truer words were never spoken. An article by Matt Hadro in the July/August issue of the Columbia, the official magazine of the Knights of Columbus, entitled “Big Brothers of the Little Sisters” truly captured the essence of the essential support provided by the Knights to the Little Sisters of the Poor throughout the country. We had the distinct privileged of witnessing these selfless acts of love when the Knights of Columbus visited our Home on numerous occasions and delivered much-needed cleaning supplies. Our Home was specifically mentioned in the article. The supplies provided to us by the Knights were of critical importance as we dealt with keeping our dear Residents safe.
In addition to several deliveries of supplies, the Knights of Columbus of the Queens County Conference lined up outside our Residence to cheer our dedicated nursing staff on a shift change. This loving support was just as important as hand sanitizer for sure.
The Little Sisters are most grateful to their Big Brothers of the Knights of Columbus!
