On Thursday September 28, the chairman of our Golf Committee, Joe Liana, Sr. stopped by the monthly meeting of our Auxiliary Committee, to thank the Committee members for their dedication and hard work in making our 2017 Golf Outing the tremendous success it was. Joe told the members that he was so impressed with the number of members who showed up throughout the day of the outing to take care of the many details that needed attention, in order to have a successful event. Of particular note, Joe appreciated the many members who were on the course throughout the day making the golfers feel welcomed and appreciated.
Joe also mentioned the number of positive comments he received about the creation and presentation of the numerous raffle baskets prepared by the members for the silent auction. The silent auction component of the outing generated a great deal of excitement.
Joe presented a plaque to the Auxiliary Committee from the Golf Committee reciting the appreciation from one committee to the other, all in support of the mission of the Little Sisters. Accepting the plaque on behalf of the Auxiliary Committee were past President Willy Schiffer and long serving member Mary Ann Denon.
We are blessed to have such a dedicated Auxiliary Committee at Queen of Peace. Thank you.
