Outdoor Dining at Antun’s of Queens Village
As the pandemic continues, we hear countless stories of local businesses finding ways to re-invent themselves to not only stay in business at this challenging time but as important, keeping their employees working. One such story involves our dear friend, Joe King, the principal owner of the famous Antun’s of Queens Village.
Over the last 75 years, Antun’s of Queens Village has been the premier location for a catered special event. How many of us have been to Antun’s for a wedding reception, a Christening celebration or a charitable event? We have had many of our special events at Antun’s over our 50 years in Queens Village. Joe’s business, as you can imagine, has been severely impacted by the pandemic. While we were able to have our annual Bandstand event at Antun’s in early March, we had to cancel our own 50th Anniversary Gala in April as a result of the pandemic.
Joe, being the good man he is, wanted to find a way to keep the 90 employees of Antun’s working. We are pleased to let you know that Joe has gone back to the future for Antun’s and has begun outdoor dining Thursday through Sunday in the beautiful Outdoor Garden of Antun’s newly named, The Restaurant, an American Bistro. The last time Antun’s offered weekly dining was back in the 1960s. We know that Joe would find a way to help his employees during this crisis. He has been a good friend of ours and a steadfast supporter of our Mission. With Joe as a friend, we are in very good company. Joe may also count among his friends, countless charitable and civic organizations, our own diocese, and, of course, the first responders of New York City.
To make a reservation for outdoor dining call Joe at 718-468-6400 or visit www.antuns.com. We know from past experience; the food and service are exceptional and the parking is free.
Thank you for all that you are doing to support your local businesses.
