Welcome Mother Joseph Caroline
Yesterday was a very special day at Queens of Peace. Yesterday we welcomed Mother Joseph Caroline as the new Mother Superior of our Home. Mother Joseph arrived at our Home around 2:30 p.m. yesterday and was greeted by an assembly of our Sisters, Residents, and Staff all to the sound of Neil Diamond’s “Sweet Caroline.”
Our Mother Provincial, Alice Marie Monica, officially welcomed Mother Joseph to Queen of Peace on behalf of the Little Sisters. Our dear Resident Winny Valcancick, welcomed Mother Joseph on behalf of the Residents at Queen of Peace as everyone present recited the prayer of St. Jeanne Jugan.
Those Residents who initially met Mother Joseph were very happy to have the opportunity to personally say hello and welcome. The Staff members present also welcomed Mother Joseph with warm greetings and the promise to continue the unwavering dedication of service to the elderly poor in the true spirit of the Mission of the Little Sisters of the Poor.
We all welcome our new Mother Superior to her new Home and wish her many years of faith-filled joy, success and happiness.
