On All Souls Day, Nov. 2, we recall the dearly departed souls who have left us but continue to reside in our hearts. A time for reflection and prayer, All Souls Day is a day to remember our loved ones who have left an indelible mark on our lives.
I know that on All Souls Day, I will be praying for family, friends and Little Sisters who have touched my life in profound ways. Their absence is felt keenly, yet their presence lives on in the stories we tell, the lessons they taught and the love they bestowed on us.
We Little Sisters would like to join our prayers with yours throughout the month of November and during Masses here at Queen of Peace Residence. We will especially ask the Lord to bring comfort and healing to those who have lost a loved one. We will pray that our loved ones are in the loving embrace of Jesus, Mary and Joseph.
We believe that God’s mercy and goodness will come to the aid of our loved ones. St. Jeanne Jugan, our foundress, taught us that “If God is with us, it will be accomplished.”
Also, at this time of year, I will pray that the Lord blesses you for your support of our Home. Without you, we could not continue our ministry of love and service to the elderly that we care for here at Queen of Peace Residence.
Sister Joseph Caroline
P.S. Thank you for your support, encouragement and prayers.
