With reverence and love we celebrated together the Paschal Triduum. To help the Residents to profit fully of these three days of grace, Sr. Gerard Mary made a special program of the Mass and service times and delivered it to their rooms. The liturgies of Holy Thursday and the Easter Vigil were animated by the exquisite singing of the Little Sisters, novices and postulants of the novitiate community. Friends from the Glenn Mohr Chorale kindly came to sing at our Good Friday service. Following Mass on Easter Sunday, the kitchen staff prepared a special lunch for the Residents in the auditorium. The Easter celebrations were made more beautiful by the Easter lilies and spring flower bouquets which decorated our chapel and hallways. The flowers were donated by Kurt Weiss Greenhouses on Long Island, who have been giving to our home for three generations. In the days before Easter Sr. Elisabeth Ann and her volunteer, Frances Sidlo, brought back two vanloads of flowers and spring plants. The flowers reflect God’s gift of new life and bring joy to those who see them, particularly the Residents. Blessed Easter!
