Irish Night was scheduled months ago for Thursday, March 5. Preparations were timely and everyone looked forward to an evening of food, fun and friendship. However, March 5 proved to be a day of constant snow. Since it had snowed on the day of the event in the past, this year’s event was not cancelled. The Queen of Peace kitchen made 1600 scones, along with cakes and cookies. Antun’s donated the catering hall and the meal, except for the 250 pounds of corned beef donated by Western Beef. The room was beautifully prepared, the Irish Mist Quartet came and played, the Little Sister from the craft room set up her wares to be sold and the Donny Golden School of Dance came as usual to perform lovely Irish dances. The only thing missing was a full audience, but for those who did come, it was an enjoyable evening!
