The Gospel Ship Gospel Crusaders gospel choir raised the roof and brought great joy to the residents during a concert they gave at Queen of Peace on Saturday, June 9. The niece of Arthur Daniels, one of the Residents, sings in the choir, which is made up of members of two nearby Baptist churches. She wanted to bring the choir to perform at the home to help the Residents praise God and think about heaven. The group did just that through their heartfelt and harmonious renditions of gospel classics such as “The Old Gospel Ship,” “What a Friend We Have in Jesus,” and “Glad I’ve Got Jesus.” The Residents, who began the concert by clapping their hands and tapping their toes, were up singing and dancing with the choir by the end of the show. Arthur was especially happy to sing with them. Manyof the Residents said it was one of the best entertainments ever!
