Please join us to celebrate the Feast Day of Saint Jeanne Jugan
Let us pray for you!
Friday, August 30 is a special day at Queen of Peace Residence. It is the traditional feast day of Saint Jeanne Jugan – the foundress of the Little Sisters of the Poor.
The feast day of Jeanne Jugan is a celebration of the mission of the Little Sisters to offer the neediest elderly of every race and religion a Home where they will be welcomed as Christ, cared for as family and accompanied with Dignity until God calls them to Himself.
The feast day Mass will be celebrated at 10:45 a.m. in the Chapel at Queen of Peace, by Bishop Raymond F. Chappetto, Auxiliary Bishop of Brooklyn and a dear friend of the Little Sisters.
The Little Sisters will also conduct a Prayer Vigil on Thursday, August 29 commencing at 7 p.m. in the Chapel at Queen of Peace Residence. The Little Sisters welcome the opportunity to ask you for your prayer requests which will be presented and prayed for by the Little Sisters during the Vigil.
Please send your prayer requests either by mail to Sr. Elisabeth Anne at Queen of Peace or by email to the attention of Sr. Elisabeth Anne at qpdonations@littlesistersofthepoor.org.
We hope you can join us at the Vigil on Thursday, August 29 or the Mass on Friday, August 30. The Little Sisters look forward to giving glory to almighty God for the life and blessings of Saint Jeanne Jugan. May God bless you!
