It’s Beginning to Look a Lot Like Christmas
On Saturday, November 10, our doors opened to a generous crowd of supporters who rushed in with great anticipation to purchase a vast variety of Thanksgiving and Christmas holiday gifts & home-baked scones and cookies. Sr. Rose along with our talented & creative Residents, volunteers and staff work throughout the year on one-of-a-kind ceramic, wood and fabric creations. Several unique items including reindeer with lights and an army of wooden soldiers were very popular.
The Novitiate had a few tables (St. Ann’s Nook) of handmade items for sale in the lobby. We thank our novices who created the most beautiful handmade rosaries, cards, crocheted and knit items which they modeled throughout the day. Fun and fellowship was ever present all day long.
Our busy shoppers had the opportunity to rest and enjoy some refreshments in our Coffee Shop. In addition to hot dogs, cookies, soft drinks and coffee, our Chef Eric made his famous chili!
What makes this day special is that it is more than just a sale. The day is a true celebration of our Residents. Their beautiful work all year long is a tribute to their considerable talents and the great joy they bring to us. This is the mission of the Little Sisters to celebrate and honor our elderly. They are a gift from God!
Thank you all who came to be part of this wonderful day.
