How Does All the Laundry Get Done?
Like residents of any other home, our Residents at Queen of Peace have laundry that needs to be done. Like any other home there are clothes worn, towels used, sheets and pillowcases changed, blankets used, socks worn, tablecloths and napkins constantly used, and sweatshirts with the names of favorite sports teams, always in use. Our laundry is generated each and every day. Just like your home.
How does all that laundry at Queen of Peace get done? We are blessed to have a team of very dedicated, hardworking women who make up our laundry services team. Our team is made up of Zena, Anna, Susheila and Lucy.
These ladies rotate on a six-day a week schedule to sort, clean, dry, iron and fold several hundred pounds of laundry each and every week. They also safely clean, iron and store all the specialty tablecloths we used for such events as our annual Garden Party, St. Joseph’s Day, or our Golf Outing’s Dinner with the Sisters auction prize.
As anyone who understands household laundry, this is a monumental task. Our team steadfastly accomplish this task with positive attitudes and delightful senses of humor. We are blessed to have such support from our dedicated laundry services team.
Thank you, ladies!
