Phase One
As Spring leads us to the Summer, we have welcomed Phase One of New York City’s reopening. While we continue the full lockdown for our Home and continue the mandatory testing of all Residents, Staff and Sisters, the warmer weather has allowed us to assist our Residents in venturing outside. Our Residents use face coverings and observe social distancing, but they welcome the chance to go outside to enjoy the warm weather and take in our beautiful grounds.
Throughout the pandemic, we have maintained our grounds and kept up with our seasonal plantings. Our fully- accessible gardens, patios, Rosary Walk and backyard gazebo all provide a place to sit, read, pray and reflect on the beauty of nature all around our Home.
Our grounds truly create atmosphere of peace for our Residents. This is so important, especially today. Visible signs of the peace created are the numerous statues of Our Lord, Our Blessed Mother, St. Joseph and St. Jeanne Jugan located throughout the grounds which serve as constant reminders of God’s unconditional love for us.
