Thank You, Best Yet of Syosset
Today we received a sizeable donation of canned goods and food supplies with a most interesting story.
Mr. Thomas Regan is the store manager for Best Yet supermarket located in Syosset New York. Several weeks ago, Thomas had an idea to ask his customers to contribute money for the purchase of canned goods and groceries, which would be provided by the store and packaged by the store for delivery to a worthy recipient. The program met with extreme success and the generous customers of Best Yet contributed enough money for the store to purchase and prepare 100 bags of canned goods and groceries.
As it turns out, Thomas told his uncle Kevin Regan about the project and mentioned that the store was trying to identify a recipient for such a sizeable donation. As it turns out, Kevin Regan, a decorated retired New York City Police Officer, who now works at Kellenberg Memorial High School, mentioned the issue to Br. Michal Gillen of Kellenberg Memorial. Br. Michael, being a dear friend of the Little Sisters, mentioned that Queen of Peace would be able to use the sizable donation for the care of our Residents. So today, Kevin Regan personally delivered 100 bags of canned goods and groceries to our kitchen staff.
Thank you, Thomas, and everyone shopping at or working for Best Yet for supporting us in our Mission.
A Blessed Christmas to all!
Thank You, Best Yet of Syosset
