The Solemnity of Saint Joseph, March 19, was a special day here at Queen of Peace Residence. Bishop Nelson J. Perez, Auxiliary Bishop of the Rockville Centre Diocese, was the main celebrant at our Mass. Father August Iantosca, our Chaplain, and our Resident priests concelebrated with the Bishop.
During his homily, Bishop Perez spoke about how Saint Joseph teaches us serene trusting in God. After Mass, he was happy to stay for some picture taking with the Queen of Peace Community as well as the Postulants, Novices and Community from Saint Ann’s Novitiate.
In the early afternoon, Residents and employees came to the auditorium to partake in the Saint Joseph’s Table. It was a real spread of delicious baked goods provided by our kitchen staff as well as Associates and volunteers.
