Golf Tournament Postponed
Dear Friends,
I hope this message finds you all well and being vigilant and careful during this difficult time. We continue to pray for the health and safety of each of you, and for the finding of a remedy for the coronavirus.
For 50 years, the Little Sisters of the Poor at Queen of Peace Residence have provided long-term care to the neediest elderly of every race and religion. For 50 years, the Little Sisters have provided a Home to the elderly poor where they have been welcomed as Christ, cared for as family and accompanied with dignity until God calls them to Himself.
It is with this sense of care and concern for the health and safety of our elderly Residents that we have decided to postpone our 31st Annual Golf Outing scheduled for May 4 at Hempstead Golf and Country Club. As you know, besides being our largest annual fundraising event, our Golf Outing is a fun filled day for our dear golfer and non-golfer friends alike, along with our Residents and Sisters. We will keep you posted as to the new date for this year’s outing.
Be assured that we are, and always will be, most grateful to you for your prayers and support. Our loving partnership with you remains strong in these difficult times and together I know that the Mission of the Little Sisters at Queen of Peace Residence will continue.
I thank you for your kind understanding and I ask God to continue to bless each of you.
Sincerely yours in Christ,
Sr. Celine Thérèse
