Thinking of you
Our reason for reaching out to you as the coronavirus pandemic continues is twofold.
First, we wanted to let you know that we remain safe at home at Queen of Peace. Our incident command system that we initiated several weeks ago remains in place and has provided us with the systematic response required for this present emergency. We have a secure Home. We have secured our supply chain which, as you can imagine, is extensive to meet the needs of our Residents, staff and Sisters. We have protected our staff with personal protective equipment (PPE). While life at Queen of Peace has changed to some extent, life does continue. We have maintained the care and activities for our Residents. Meals continue to be served individually to our Residents and our activities have incorporated appropriate social distancing.
Our dedicated staff is second to none. These folks continue to come to work every day to serve our Residents and maintain our Home. Each staff member, as well as each Sister, continue to be individually screened anytime they enter the Residence. Everyone has their temperature taken twice a day. Everyone wears PPE while in the Home. Despite all of this, our staff has maintained their commitment to our Mission and projects a very positive attitude. We are most grateful to each of them and count them all as a blessing to us.
Our second reason to reach out to you, is to ask “How are You?” We have not only been partners in our Mission over the years, but we consider you our family. As family, we want to know how you are coping during this difficult time. Please be assured that you are in our prayers as we continue to prayer for this crisis to end, and for all of us to be protected from the infection of this virus. We know there is great concern and worry among our family with all the uncertainty around us. We ask that you put yourself in the Lord’s care with the confidence that He will look over and protect you while he guides all of us out of this crisis.

We are here for you, as you are for us. Together, as one family that trusts in the Lord, we will get through this. Please be safe.
I thank you for your prayers and support and I ask God to continue to bless each of you.
Sincerely yours in Christ,
Sr. Celine Thérèse
