On Thursday, March 2, Queen of Peace Residence held its first annual American Bandstand event. The dinner dance held at Antun’s of Queens Village, featured a delicious reception and dinner entirely underwritten by Joe King of Antun’s.
The evening’s entertainment was provided by the famous Achhords, whose performance of songs from the 1950’s and 1960’s was nothing short of spectacular. We are most grateful to the Achhords for donating this performance to the Queen of Peace; showing that they are a class act in more ways than one!
It was a fun filled evening with the Sisters and Residents having the chance to see old friends and make new friends. It was a wonderful sight to see so many people up and dancing throughout the evening. The night proved that the music from this era is truly timeless and enjoyed by all generations.
Many of our guests said they will look forward to this event again next year. Thank you to all who supported this event. Your love and support of the mission of the Little Sisters is very much appreciated. A special thank you to the Auxiliary Committee at Queen of Peace, for making it all come together so smoothly for everyone’s enjoyment.
