On February 26 in the chapel, Creative Ministries performing arts troupe performed a beautiful living Stations of the Cross that brought to life through drama and song the journey of Jesus to Calvary. Creative Ministries did a beautiful job in portraying the emotion and love that took place in the real Passion. They described the townspeople that loved Jesus and how the crowd had turned against him. After this touching play, we had a wonderful Veneration of the Cross, where we and the Residents were able to go up towards the altar and show our respect for Jesus and his Cross. As an ending prayer, Father Dominic Pappa, a Resident and Passionist priest, recited a lovely litany, thanking Jesus for everything he has done for us. In conclusion, the Lenten season is a time to remember Jesus’ suffering to free us. In fact, in the performance after Jesus was buried, the cast sang praise to God, telling us to do what we are called to do: to act with justice, to love tenderly and to walk humbly with God.
