Grace Adams arrived at Queen of Peace on Saturday, October 25, birthday of Saint Jeanne Jugan. Grace is familiar to everyone at our Home; she has been here before, even spending a length of time with us. Today, Grace did not come to visit or spend time; she was entering the Congregation of the Little Sisters of the Poor. From the moment she got out of the car, Grace radiated a joy and enthusiasm that was contagious.
On Sunday, the Mass was offered for Grace’s intentions as she began this first step on her journey to becoming a Little Sister of the Poor. Mother Provincial Margaret Regina and Mother Celine Thérèse carried the gifts with Grace during the Offertory Procession. They are shown here after Mass next to the statue of Saint Jeanne Jugan.
Grace left Queen of Peace on Tuesday, October 28, for Palatine, Illinois, where she will be joined by four others. Together, they will begin their Postulancy, the first step in their formation. Our thoughts and prayers accompany all of them!
