At the end of Mass on Sunday, May 6 we honored our Blessed Mother in this her month of May with a May Crowning, a meaningful tradition for the Residents. After the final blessing, the daughters of our Filipino choir members, who sang for the Mass, processed up the aisle with candles. They wore beautiful white dresses for the occasion. The youngest of the girls led the procession carrying a crown of flowers placed on a pillow. Resident Alice Jarvis was honored to place the crown on the statue of Mary, Our Lady of Fatima, near the altar. The floral crown will adorn the statue of Our Lady for the month of May. May she be blessed forever!
