Thanksgiving at Queen of Peace

  • December 17, 2013

Thanksgiving is always a feast so dear to our hearts. Every year the Little Sisters and staff at Queen of Peace work hard to make it special for our Residents.  For Residents who are unable to leave our home to travel, we invited their families to come to our home for the celebration.  The festive mood could be felt everywhere. The smells of a traditional Thanksgiving dinner welcomed everyone to the dining room. Yes, we even had a ceremonial carving of the turkey. Some of our volunteers, we learned, are master carvers. Dinner was served with all the traditional trimmings. What a feast! We are grateful to our staff especially our kitchen staff for making this year’s Thanksgiving so special. We thank God’s providence and all our benefactors who made it all possible.
