Happy New Year
To say the least, 2020 was a year easy to remember and a year that will be hard to forget. The pandemic change our way of life and our way of interacting with our family and friends. Our normal activities were considered unsafe. Our churches were closed. The economic toll on so many individuals and businesses was devastating to say the least. So many innocent lives were taken from us way to soon.
While the situation was at its darkest our faith was at its’ brightest. We never forgot that God is in control and our trust in God never wavered. We found light in the darkness through drawing closer to family and friends even while separated. We focused on the important things of life, not merely the “things” of life. We reached out to help others in need knowing they could not repay the kindness. We were concerned for the safety of people we really didn’t know. We tried to be safe to keep others safe. We had faith that a vaccine would be found. We understood more deeply the power of prayer.
The light of Christmas had particular meaning this year as this light penetrated a pandemic darkness. Hope was evident. Our prayers were being answered on God’s timetable, which our faith teaches us to do our best to understand.
We look forward to better days ahead in 2021. God is still in control and our faith is strong.
Wishing you all a Happy, Healthy and Safe New Year.
“God bless us all, everyone.”
