Love is Stronger Than COVID-19
As we have seen this year, the pandemic has changed our way of living, and for many of us, our way of serving others. This year we have had to cancel many of the events we hold for the support of our Mission. Taking into account all the difficulties that the schools have experienced during the pandemic, we decided not to ask our school partners to participate in our annual the food and personal care items drive which is normally held before Thanksgiving.
As it turns out, this decision allowed us to experience first-hand, that love is stronger than COVID-19. Enter the students of Kellenberg Memorial High School who, upon being told that the annual drive for us would not be held, respectfully ignored our decision and went on and collected a bus load of food and personal care items for our Residents. Not only did they collect the items, they made sure that they could come to our Home to personally deliver the donation to our outside collection location. The students of Kellenberg Memorial High School not only talk the talk, but they walk the walk. “Love Never Fails.” 1 Corinthians 13:8.
We are most grateful to these remarkable young people, and also to our dear friend Brother Michael Gillen who accompanied the students to our Home.
