If It Doesn’t Move…Paint It
There is an old saying in the Navy that says, “If it moves, salute it, if it doesn’t, paint it.” Part of that saying is true at our Home in that many non-moving parts of our Home are getting painted as part of our “fresh look” incentive. We are trying to give our Home a fresh look as we make preparations to accept the easing of some of the health and safety procedures and protocols that have been in place in our Home during the pandemic.
This week the ceiling of our Home’s iconic front entrance canopy began receiving some needed repairs and a fresh coat of paint. Our dedicated and very talented maintenance staff will do a terrific job to make one of the first impressions of our Home look its best. As you can imagine, and as history has shown us, painting a ceiling is never easy.
While our canopy ceiling may not be on the same level as another iconic ceiling, the Sistine Chapel, we feel a fresh coat of paint, new lighting and hanging flowering plants will bring beauty to the front entrance of our Home.
