Last Friday night, a wonderful tradition at Queen of Peace continued. The Annual Employee Recognition Dinner was held in our auditorium. This is an opportunity for the Little Sisters to thank those that dedicate themselves to our Residents’ care and safety all year long. The theme of this year’s dinner was a tropical luau and the auditorium was fabulously decorated in honor of the occasion.
The employees of Queen of Peace are at the forefront of patient care and safety, serving with true dedication day in and day out, all year long. Various employees who had reached milestones in service (5, 10, 15 and 20 years) were asked to step up and receive certificates of recognition for their faithful and unselfish service. Those employees who will be retiring from service at Queen of Peace at the end of this year were also given special recognition by Mother Celine.
Recognition was also given to the 2017-18 recipient of the Jeanne Jugan award, Nick Sooman. This annual award is given to the employee who is selected by the other employees of Queen of Peace and who exemplifies the daily living of the mission of the Little Sisters.
The delicious dinner was prepared especially for the night by our own Chef Kevin and it was enjoyed by all. After dinner, the music continued for those that were in the mood to dance.
The chance to thank our dedicated employees for their service and compassion is always a welcomed opportunity for the Little Sisters.
