Friday, September 29 was a very special day of spirituality at Queen of Peace. The Sisters, Residents and staff gathered for an outdoor Rosary procession with live meditations of the Joyful Mysteries. Joining us in the procession and assisting our Residents were students from Sacred Heart School.
On this beautiful day, the procession began at 10:15 a.m. and traveled the grounds of our Home stopping along the way at: Our Lady of Lourdes grotto, Our Lady of Fatima sanctuary, and the statue of St. Jeanne Jugan and the front entrance of our Home in order to meditate on each of the Joyful Mysteries.
At the end of the procession, we gathered for Mass in our Chapel.
Throughout the rest of the day, the Rosary was animated in our Chapel by various groups including our employees, volunteers, Associates of Jeanne Jugan, Residents, Knights and Ladies of Malta and students from Kellenberg Memorial High School.
Our day of prayer for vocations ended with evening prayer at 5 p.m. and a Vocation Holy Hour with Benediction of the Blessed Sacrament at 6:30 p.m. We thank everyone who participated in this very special day at Queen of Peace.
We pray that God Bless us with young men and women who will hear and respond generously to the Lord’s call to the priesthood, diaconate, religious life, societies of apostolic life or secular associations. Thank you.
